Amazon is hiring for Distribution Center Associate

The Sortation Center of Amazon is seeking applicants to join their team as Distribution Center Associate. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be a critical part of the team in charge of the initial step of the warehouse-to-delivery process. You will be working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment, sorting, scanning, and organizing packages onto pallets to prepare customer orders for shipping. With mostly part-time shifts available, you can maintain control over your schedule.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • The products that are shipped by the supplier are collected by the organization and placed in their designated areas
  • Assemble products carefully, making sure each item is packaged and labeled correctly
  • Boost efficiency in the workplace by incorporating innovative devices such as scanners, computers, and portable printers
  • Can manage a load of up to 49 pounds
  • To maintain a healthy body, it's crucial to stay active during your shifts by performing tasks requiring pushing, pulling, squatting, reaching, and other movements
  • Utilize gears such as hand trucks, carts, and dollies in moving items
  • For those areas with vertical levels, stairs can be used to go up and down in a safe and effective manner
  • Conduct work on mezzanines, where available, at a height tolerance of up to 40 feet
