The Role:

As the Site Head for ElevateBio’s manufacturing facility in Pittsburgh (known as Basecamp Pittsburgh), you will work at location to build an operational readiness strategy to ensure timely and efficient operational start up of the facility by early 2027.  Construction of the site is in-progress with substantial completion slated to be complete in early 2026.  Along with ElevateBio leadership, you will have direct responsibility for hiring and creating workforce development plans all manufacturing operations, manufacturing science, project management, engineering, supply chain, business excellence, finance, human resources, and environmental health and safety (EHS).  Upon operational commencement of the site, you will work to inspire and guide all site teams to deliver results for customer satisfaction, production performance, financial targets, and the highest compliance and safety standards so that the site can bring our purpose, values, vision, and imperatives to life. BaseCamp operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. This position will report directly to the CTO of ElevateBio BaseCamp

• Provide clinical and commercial material according to plan.

• Align with the BaseCamp Leadership (BLT) to ensure strategic plans and targets are met.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or another related technical field. MBA or Master's degree is preferred.
• 15+ years of related progressive experience.
• Experience in Cell & Gene Therapy leadership and management required.
• Experience navigating change management and people management within a matrix organization.
• Experience in GMP manufacturing and managing regulatory inspections.
• Experience delivering on site performance and investments.
• Continuous improvement knowledge and experience implementing programs.
• Have managed project and startup/product launch situations.
