Provide compassionate and attentive care to patients in the Rehab unit
Assist patients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and eating
Monitor and record patients' vital signs, behavior, and progress
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans


Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation processes and techniques
Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients
Help patients with mobility and transferring as needed
Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
Document patient care and progress accurately and timely
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations
Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth to enhance patient care delivery.

Job Qualifications


High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Patient Care Assistant Rehab Job At Uchealth Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And The Ability To Understand And Follow Instructions.

Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Uchealth Typically Requires Candidates For Patient Care Assistant Rehab Positions To Hold A Valid Cna Certification. This Certification Indicates A Level Of Training And Competency In Basic Nursing Skills, Such As Taking Vital Signs And Assisting With Daily Activities.

Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: While Not Always Required, Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Rehabilitation Facility, Is Highly Valued By Uchealth. This Experience Shows A Familiarity With Medical Terminology, Procedures, And The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment.

Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: As A Patient Care Assistant In A Rehabilitation Unit, You May Be Required To Assist Patients With Mobility And Transfers. A Bls Certification, Which Includes Training In Cpr And Basic First Aid, Is Typically Required For This Type Of Position.
