About the Opportunity
American Airlines is seeking a highly skilled Cloud-Based Development Specialist to join its IT team. As a Cloud-Based Development Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing large-scale cloud-based applications in hosted production environments. This role involves working closely with software architects and technical leads to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise growth needs. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and debugging complex issues, identifying and implementing solutions, creating detailed project specifications, requirements, and estimates, researching and implementing new technologies to enhance current processes, security, and performance, supporting the development of coding standards, and adhering to best practices and security guidelines.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced cloud-based development specialist with expertise in J2EE technologies, React, Angular, and Python. Proficiency in object-oriented design techniques and principles is essential. Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps Toolchain methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment, is also required.

Responsibilities


This role involves collaborating with leaders, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, technical leads, and other developers to understand requirements and develop needs according to business requirements. You will maintain and enhance existing enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain-driven design and test-driven development.

Troubleshooting and debugging complex issues, identifying and implementing solutions, creating detailed project specifications, requirements, and estimates, researching and implementing new technologies to enhance current processes, security, and performance, supporting the development of coding standards, and adhering to best practices and security guidelines are some of the key responsibilities of this role.

Salary and Benefits


The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
