The primary role of a Form Carpenter is to safely and efficiently build various types of concrete forms, tie rebar, and place and finish concrete.

The ideal candidate must be competent and proficient in setting concrete forms, and possess’ the following qualities and skills:

Responsibilities:

  • Perform various physical duties assigned
  • Build forms for concrete piers, footings, and walls
  • Interpret blueprints and diagrams to determine dimensions and details
  • Assemble, measure, marks cutting lines, and cut materials
  • Saws material to required size with handsaws, power saw, or woodworking machine
  • Nails cleats (braces) across boards to construct supporting forms
  • Brace forms in place with timbers, tie rods, and anchor bolts
  • Erect forms using hand tools, plumb rule, and level
  • Builds false work
  • Erect and install ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways
  • Positions, space, secure steel reinforcement in accordance with blue prints using wire and pliers
  • Spread, level, smooth, and finish concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float
  • Attend job site safety meetings
  • Maintain all safety standards
  • Maintain a clean job site daily:
  • pick-up all tools and equipment
  • secure job site
  • eliminate potential hazards
  • Performs other duties assigned

Qualifications:


  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Pass Pre-employment Assessments (includes BGC, MVR, drug test, & physical)
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Must have the following:
  • Carpenter hand tools/bags (list will be provided during interview)
  • valid driver’s license
  • TWIC card
  • steel toe work boots
  • reliable transportation
  • the ability to work in all weather
  • the physical ability to complete strenuous tasks
  • the physical ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in awkward positions
