Our rheumatology department seeks a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional rheumatologic care.

Position Overview:

We seek a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Rheumatology team. This is a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with our rheumatologists, diagnosing and managing patients with rheumatic diseases, and providing high-quality care and education to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed histories and physical examinations.

Diagnose and manage various rheumatologic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, and other autoimmune diseases

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications, recommending therapies, and coordinating care with other healthcare providers.

Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures relevant to rheumatology.

Educate patients and their families about disease processes, treatment options, and preventive measures.

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Participate in clinical research and stay updated with the latest advancements in rheumatology.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and clinical activities.

Collaborate with Physicians, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.

Current state licensure as a PA or NP.

Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or relevant Nurse Practitioner certification.

Minimum of two years of experience in rheumatology or a related field preferred but not mandatory.

Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing rheumatic diseases.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Commitment to continuing education and professional development.

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting salary of $90,000 with the opportunity for a productivity bonus.
